I love E3. I love it more than the holidays. I love the not knowing exactly of what will happen or what will be announced. With the event being less than 30 days away, I thought it would be fun to fantasize about the games and announcements that we would love, but ultimately be disappointed when it doesn’t happen. Keep in mind, these are just random ideas I came up with due to love for games, so don’t really expect this happen…but hopefully it will.

1)   Sony Gives Us the Capability to Download PS3 Games on the PS4.

When you really think about it, it’s a bit of a bummer that I can’t take my PS + game downloads from my PS3 and put them on my PS4. This will come off as more of gamer entitlement whining than anything else, but I want my games on one system as opposed to cluttering up my home with systems, or having to go to another room just to play something. I hate the fact that I have to keep my PS3 to play Persona 5 and wish I could have that capability sooner than later.

Don’t get me wrong. I understand from a business standpoint that they want people to keep their PS3’s or want people to buy them for the games that aren’t out yet, but I do think that the people who have invested in the PS4 should have that option.

2)     Early Release Options

When Nintendo put out the Legend of Zelda: The Windwaker HD early for people who wanted to download it, I thought that was genius move to do that. Then after time passed, I started to think about it more and more; why not give the option to buy it early for a slight discount?

Think about it. Game developers are consistently complaining about used game sales and this could help combat that, but still have the option for someone to buy the physical copy if they want. This would keep costs down for the game companies and give the player something to look forward to.
